Nothing can be done to right the speedy goodbyes we were expected to make today, but something can be done to help any other family that may be found in this situation. I have never been to a funeral where they begin burying the body right in front of all the family members. We had not finished saying our goodbyes, we had not even finished dropping roses onto his casket (or the cement box his casket is in). The workers there today were so quick to get her son buried that they literally asked my friend (his mother) to step aside so they could bring in the tractor to dump dirt on his body. They probably have sunk due to the draught in 2021, but also because the cemetery used far too much fertilizer, which exasperated the problem when the rains came and the grass started growing like crazy, pushing the markers deeper so that MOST are BARELY VISIBLE. But mowing is not going to do anything to the sunken markers. The grass is very thick and needs mowing.
